Cosmetic
Dentistry
Have the smile you want and keep
it for a lifetime! Teeth naturally darken
as we age. Over time, staining may be caused by
exposure to coffee, tea, soda, tobacco, and certain
foods. Discoloration can also occur because of
certain childhood illnesses, medications, physical
trauma, etc.
Thanks to several recent advances
in dentistry, cosmetic procedures are available
to help you achieve the smile you want. We can
help you map out a treatment plan to give you the
best results.
Do you want to Zoom!™? The Zoom! In-Office Whitening System is a revolutionary tooth whitening procedure. It's safe effective and fast, very fast. Replacing Old Fillings |

Crowns: When a tooth is fractured
or cracked, severely damaged by decay, or has large
old filling, a crown (also called cap) is often
placed. A crown strengthens the tooth, protects
the remaining tooth structure and can improve appearance.
Bridges: Teeth can be lost by accident,
decay or bone loss. When one or more teeth are
missing, the remaining teeth often drift out of
position, placing stress on adjacent tissues and
teeth. Eating speaking and chewing may be more
difficult. You may feel self-conscious about your
appearance. Before things start to really go awry,
consider what a bridge can do.
A bridge is a replacement tooth that
is supported and attached by a crown on either
side of the space. The two side teeth (anchor teeth)
are prepared to provide support for the bridge.
Implants: What
are Implants? Implants are titanium posts or frames
that are surgically placed beneath your gums. After
placement, the implants fuse to the bone of your
jaw and act as artificial tooth roots. Replacement
teeth - singularly or grouped on a bridge or denture
- are then mounted to the implant. Dental implants
can be an effective method to replace teeth.
Root Canal
Treatment: Once upon a
time, if you had a tooth with a diseased nerve,
you'd probably lose that tooth. Today, with a special
dental procedure called a root canal therapy you
may save that tooth. Inside each tooth is the pulp
which provides nutrients and nerves to the tooth,
it runs like a thread down through the root. When
the pulp is diseased or injured, the pulp tissue
dies. If you don't remove it, your tooth gets infected
and you could lose it. After the dentist removes
the pulp, the root canal is cleaned and sealed
off to protect it. Then we will place a crown over
the tooth to help make it stronger.
High Tech Dental Service
Intra-Oral Cameras: New technology allows us to use a small color camera on the end of a dental instrument to show you on a monitor what the inside of your mouth looks like. We can freeze the image and print it to paper. Often, patients are unaware of the conditions that exist in their mouth so this becomes an excellent tool to help educate our patients.
Diagno-Dent: New Laser technology used to diagnose decay. Conventional method is only 25% accurate. This instrument is 93% accurate. |
